When the autumn approaches and the weather starts getting cooler, football parties become a reality of life in many areas of the United States. Not only are the games a lot of fun to watch, the food that shows up at these parties is usually awesome, to say the least. Once you learn how to make these hot ham and cheese party rolls, however, you will never look at football party treats the same way again.
Not only are these rolls fantastic to eat, they also look awesome on a platter. Of course, you are going to need to look quickly because once you put it down in front of a group of football fans, they will disappear quickly.
To make these delightful rolls, the ingredients are simple-1 can Pillsbury refrigerated Classic Pizza Crust, ¾ pound of deli ham (thinly sliced, but not shaved), and 12 slices Swiss cheese that is thinly sliced.
For the glaze you will need, ½ cup butter-about 8 tablespoons, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon poppy seeds.
First, preheat the oven to 350 ° F, and coat a 9 by 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Next, unroll the pizza dough onto a cutting board and press into a rectangle. Then, top with ham and cheese slices.
You should start on the longer side of the rectangle and roll up the edge tightly. When you get to the end, pinch the seam together and flip the roll so that the seam faces down. After cut into 12-1 inch slices and place on the prepared baking dish.
To prepare the glaze, combine the butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and poppy seeds in a sauce pan and let it combine over medium heat. Whisk until the butter is melted, and the glaze is smooth and combined. Then pour evenly over the rolls.
Cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours or bake, uncovered for 25 minutes until golden and browned.
