Make Chicken Teriyaki in the Slow Cooker

On any given night, Chinese take-out is ordered by people all around the world. It is a family favorite, not only because it is easy and delicious but because it is fairly inexpensive as well. Once you know how to make this teriyaki chicken in the slow cooker, however, you might never order take-out again.

The slow cooker is truly the unsung hero of the kitchen. Not only is it able to make food perfectly, it is the ideal option for busy families who don’t have time to slave over a stove before dinner is ready. Just put this in the slow cooker, cook it on low and you’ll be ready to go for the evening.

1 lbs chicken,diced
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup teriyaki sauce
⅓ cup brown sugar
3 garlic cloves, minced

1. Combine broth, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and garlic in a bowl and mix until the brown sugar dissolves.

2. Add diced chicken into the slow cooker, and then cover it with the sauce.

3. Cook on ‘low’ for 5 hours, or ‘high’ for 2-3 hours.

That’s it! Serve this dish over a bed of rice for a meal that’s 10 times better than your local Chinese restaurant!

Here’s a tip: If you want some extra flavor, try spooning some of the sauce from the slow cooker over the rice instead of using soy sauce. It’ll taste much better!
