The Best Biscuits Ever – Cheesy Bacon and Cream

Many of us judge a restaurant by its biscuits but you never tried biscuits like this before. They are simple to make it home and once you make them, you will find that they are melting in your mouth and disappearing from the table. What is it that makes these biscuits so delicious?

First of all, there is bacon in the recipe, and we all know that bacon makes anything better. It also includes just the right amount of cheese and when they are baked in the oven, mmmm, they are delicious!


2 cups self rising flour
1½ Tbsp sugar
1½ cups heavy whipping cream plus 2 Tbsp
⅔ cup cooked and crumbled bacon [around 6-8 strips]
⅔ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp cream to brush the tops

Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
In a mixing bowl sift together the sugar and flour. Add the 1½ cups plus 2 tablespoons of cream.
Stir together just until moistened then add the shredded cheese and bacon.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and using floured hands, pat into a rough circle about ½-3/4 inch thick. Don’t knead this dough.
Use a 3 inch biscuit cutter dipped in flour to cut the biscuits rounds.
Place onto the baking sheet.
Brush the tops with additional cream .
Bake for 12-13 minutes until golden.
Serve hot
