If you’ve never enjoyed your grapefruit warm, you are in for a treat. Heating grapefruit makes it extra juicy and delicious. This recipe uses a touch of sweet honey and crunchy pistachios for a special breakfast or even a healthy dessert.
TIME TO TABLE:
5 minutes prep, 5 minutes broiling.
1 Paramount Citrus red grapefruit, halved
2 tablespoons chopped, salted pistachios
1 ½ tablespoons honey
1. Preheat the broiler. Place the grapefruit cut-side up on a baking sheet.
2. In a small dish, stir together the honey and pistachios. Spread half of the mixture over each of the grapefruit halves.
3. Broil for 4 to 5 minutes, until the pistachios are browned and the honey has melted into the grapefruit. Serve warm.
