Melted Chocolate Drizzle Made Easy

Melted chocolate is more than a luxury, it is an extreme treat! After all, you can pour melted chocolate over almost anything and make it delicious. Personally, I love chocolate on anything from nuts to sweets and even chocolate covered bacon! If the thought of chocolate sends you over the moon, you will love this easy method for melting it and preparing it to drizzle.

First of all, I’m not talking about melting it in the microwave or using a double boiler. Either of those methods may work but they pale in comparison to what is available here. Try it once and you will be hooked for life!

Here’s what you do:

1. Put the chips that you’re going to melt (chocolate chips, other flavored baking chips or other melting chocolate bars) into heat tolerant bowls or jars that will fit in the slow cooker. Mason jars work really well for this.

2. Add hot water to the slow cooker about half way up the sides of the jars. Make sure that you don’t get any water into the jars/bowls as water will make the melted chocolate seize and thicken.

3. Turn the slow cooker on high but don’t cover it. After 30 minutes, stir the chips. If not completely melted, continue to heat until all of the chips melt as your stir.

4. Once all melted, turn your crock pot onto the low or warm setting. You chocolate is all ready for dipping, drizzling and/or pouring. And best of all, it should keep its thin consistency for at least 2-3 hours!
