Cacao Dark Chocolate

 

what you need

Base
2 cups flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup cold butter, cut into chunks
Filling
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 can (300 mL) sweetened condensed milk
4 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
Topping
1 pkg. (170 g) Baker’s Premium 70% Cacao Dark Chocolate
1/3 cup butter

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BASE:
LINE 13×9-inch pan with parchment, with ends of parchment extending over sides. Process flour, sugar and cinnamon in food processor until blended. Add butter; pulse until mixture forms dough. Press onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 15 to 20 min. or until lightly browned; cool. Meanwhile, prepare Filling.

FILLING:
BRING ingredients to boil in saucepan on medium-high heat, whisking constantly; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring constantly. Remove from heat; pour over Base. Refrigerate 2 hours. or until firm.

TOPPING:
MICROWAVE ingredients in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Pour over Filling; tilt pan to evenly cover filling. Refrigerate 20 min. or until firm before cutting into squares.
