
1 stick of butter
1 large onion, diced
1 large head of cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 bag Kluski noodles, cooked according to package directions and drained
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
In a large pan melt butter. Add onions, stirring constantly until onions are translucent. Add cabbage, separating pieces as you add to pan. Add chicken broth. Cook 10 – 15 minutes stirring constantly until cabbage has wilted and the color has brightened. Add the cooked noodles gradually and additional butter if desired. Stir in the sugar and allow to dissolve. Add salt and pepper just before serving.
Homemade Kluski Noodles
3 c. flour
3 eggs
2 to 3 tbsp. water
1 tsp. salt
Sift flour onto a board. Make a well in center. Place eggs, water, and salt in well. Work ingredients into a dough and knead until smooth, about 1 minute. Divide into 2 parts. Roll on floured board until very thin. Let dry about an hour.
