Bacon and Bread – My 2 Favorite Things Come Together

Bacon is one of life’s grandest pleasures. Not only does it smell good when it’s cooking, it makes everything taste fantastic.

When you combine it with bread, however, you have a combination that will knock your socks off.

Follow this simple recipe and you will have a new favorite in your kitchen.

 

 

 

Choose your bread – make it soft and delicious

Cook up your favorite bacon

Make sure you have eggs – you’ll need one…

Mix it with 2 tablespoons of milk and add a dash of salt

Flatten the bread with a rolling pin (no crust)

Put the bacon inside of the bread then follow this recipe…

1. Roll each piece in the egg mixture and remove excess. Make the coating as even as possible and add some extra coating near the seams

2. Cook with butter or bacon grease

3. Place in a pan and cook for 3 or 4 minutes. Be sure to rotate them to ensure even browning

Choose your dipping sauces (optional). Some of our favorites include maple syrup or nacho cheese or just sprinkle with cinnamon.

There is plenty of wiggle room available if you want to adjusted according to your taste. Some of the easiest ways to adjust the taste include changing the type of bread or you can try different bacon. This is the perfect breakfast for the weekend.
