10 Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 apple, peeled and chopped
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
5 tablespoons sugar, divided
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Spray a 9 inch glass baking dish with non stick spray. Cut rolls in half and place cut side down in glass dish. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise 30 minutes.
Remove plastic wrap and bush rolls with melted butter and sprinkle chopped apples over rolls. In a small bowl combine cream cheese, egg, 2 Tbsp sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Spread over rolls.
In a small bowl stir mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and remaining white sugar and sprinkle over the cream cheese mixture.
Cover the rolls with plastic wrap again and let rise until doubled in size.
Remove wrap, place pan on a baking sheet with side to catch drips and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If the rolls are starting to brown to much cover with foil the last 10 minutes.
Combine icing ingredients and drizzle over rolls.
