How to Make Bacon Fried Mozzarella Sticks

I am one of those people that has a fixation for bacon and it doesn’t matter how much I get, it is never enough! If you love bacon, even just a little, this recipe is going to knock your socks off. Not only is it great for bacon lovers, it is awesome for those who love cheese as well.

At a restaurant, one of the appetizers that is frequently offered are mozzarella sticks. They can be quite delicious, but when you try these bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks, you may never go back to the original again. By combining cheese and bacon, you have something that will put you in finger food nirvana!

Once you try this delicious recipe, you need to be cautious about one problem. These bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks are so fantastic, you may just eat the entire stack yourself! That is why it is always best to have family and friends nearby so that you can share the love and spare your waistline!


You start with a 1 pound package of bacon and some mozzarella cheese sticks. Personally, I like my bacon thick but we all have our own preferences.


There is no need to measure when it comes to this finger food. Simply wrap as much bacon as you want around a cheese stick and drop it into a pan of hot frying oil. Keep your eye on it and when it is done to your particular level of crispness, it is ready to remove!


Have a plate with a few paper towels on it setting off to the side and remove the bacon cheese sticks from the hot oil using tongs. Place them on the paper towels so that the excess oil can soak away.

You may also want to have some toothpicks available. By puncturing them with toothpicks, it gives you an easy handle so that you can eat these treats while they are still too hot to hold!
