Bacon Wrapped Smokies with Brown Sugar Recipe

There is something about a great appetizer that really helps to make an evening go well. It doesn’t matter if it is some type of dip on the table in front of me or if someone bring something on a plate, I absolutely love them. Of course, this appetizer brings together some of my favorites in an awesome way.

When you combine the taste of bacon with brown sugar, you can’t help but make a lot of friends. These bacon wrapped Smokies truly are an appetizer that is not only worth trying, you will like them so much you may just make them a meal!



1 package (16 Oz. Size) Little Smokies Sausages
1 pound Bacon, Strips Cut In Half
1 stick Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar, For Sprinkling


Preheat oven to 350 F. Cut the bacon slices in half and wrap each smokie with a half strip of bacon. Place all the wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish, or rimmed sheet pan. Then melt the butter and once the butter is melted, pour it over the smokies. Then take some brown sugar and sprinkle evenly over the smokies. Bake for about an hour or until bacon is nice and crisp
